Dave Backhurst is a retired teacher who loves re-interpreting images and creating artwork from a variety of sources. Using graphite pencils, pastels and paint (mainly acrylic), Dave likes to portray strong individual statements of his subjects, thereby creating an emotional response for the viewer.
